Substaat is a Norwegian ebm-band based in Oslo, combining the punchy old-school-ebm and aggro with melodic and catchy vocal lines. The band was formed by three guys with descent experience in the electro-club-scene in Norway, in 2007.
2010 Substaat signed with the German record label: Danse Macabre Records and the debut album released February 2011. Autumn 2010 the band spent most of the time in studio with producer ALX, finishing the upcoming release. The album fuses Terje Vangbo's bright lyrics with Jarle Hansen and Petter Norstrøm ´s clean synths to generate a record brimming with ultra-catchy gems. The music of Substaat appeals to electro fans and non-electro fans alike. The band is known for its live performances filled with energy and catchy tunes.

Skandinavien und Elektro ist seit gut zwei Jahrzehnten ein Garant für Qualität und Innovation. Vom nordischen Trio Terje, Petter und Jarle wird man sicher noch mehr hören.Das Doppelalbum enthält neben den elf großartigen Analogklassikern eine Remixscheiben mit Versionen von Kant Kino, NorthBorne und vielen Anderen.
